Multiplayer Guide: How to Play Coop

You can group up to 6 players to play Coop in Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2) for a multiplayer experience. Find out how to play coop, whether will there be cross-platform play, and if couch-coop is available!

How to Play Coop

Invite Other Players to Your Party

You can play coop by inviting other players to your party or accepting party invitations from other players. Right click a player in towns and invite them to your party, or right click one of your friends in your friends list or guild members instead!

You can play coop with up to 5 different players, with a total party size of 6 players which is the max player count in a party.

Available in Cross Platform

You can play with other people across different platforms allowing you to trade and interact with a larger player count. This is advantageous for the game's multiplayer and economy as there are more people to play and trade with.

Is Couch-Coop Available?

Available for 2 Players

For couch co-op to successfully work, another controller must be connected to or paired with the gaming console. You can add a separate account or make a guest account to play couch-coop.

Keep in mind that only 2 players are allowed to play via couch co-op if you wish to play with your friends.

How to Play Online

PS5 and Xbox Require Subscriptions

PS5 players require a PlayStation Plus subscription while Xbox players require a subscription to Xbox Game Pass. You cannot play the game unless you subscribe to this service as Path of Exile is an online only game.

For PC players, you can play online multiplayer without a subscription.
