How to Unlock Reaching Clearfell

Talk to the Wounded Man

It is important to note that the areas are randomly generated and can also depend on what league you are playing in. The maps used are meant to serve as a general guide to the map layout.

You can unlock the quest Reaching Clearfell by talking to the Wounded Man right after you spawn in the Riverbank.

Reaching Clearfell Objectives
1. Search for the Miller, Find Safety in Clearfell 2. Kill the Bloated Miller and End His Rage 3. Enter the Logging Encampment

1. Find Safety in Clearfell

After waking up in The Riverbank, make your way accross the map. Look for Large Chests with valuable loot, and locate the Besieged Encampment to find the Bloated Miller.

2. Kill the Bloated Miller and End His Rage

You must defeat the Bloated Miller. Though his attacks are telegraphed, watch out for his powerful swings and charges! Drowned enemies will appear during the fight, so keep moving to avoid being surrounded.

3. Enter the logging encampment

Reaching Clearfell Renly
After defeating the Bloated Miller, go into Clearfell Encampment nearby. Complete the quest by talking to the Blacksmith, Renly.

In Cruel Difficulty, everything mostly stays the same in this quest. The only difference would be that the enemies now deal more damage and have more health. Enemy drops and items are also now of higher quality.
