You can unlock the quest Reaching Clearfell by talking to the Wounded Man right after you wake up in the Riverbank.

1. Find Safety in Clearfell

Large Chest
After waking up in the Riverbank, follow the area's paths and make your way north. Keep an eye out for Large Chests, which can contain valuable loot such as skill gems! You will need to find the Besieged Encampment , where you can find the Bloated Miller.

2. Kill the Bloated Miller and End His Rage

Bloated Miller
You will need to defeat the Bloated Miller. Though some of his attacks are telegraphed, be wary of his big swings and charges! Several Drowned enemies will also spawn during the fight, so make sure not to get surrounded and keep moving.

3. Enter the logging encampment

Clearfell Encampment Entrance
After defeating the Bloated Miller, go into the logging encampment, or the Clearfell Encampment, right by where the Bloated Miller stood before you fought him. There is a lit torch nearby, so it can easily be spotted.

4. Talk to the Blacksmith

Renly
Complete the quest by talking to the Blacksmith, Renly, once you enter the Clearfell Encampment. Renly can be found nearby the waypoint within the area.

Completing the Reaching Clearfell quest grants these rewards. You can obtain them after completing a certain objective or by completing the entire quest.

Reaching Clearfell Cruel Difficulty

More Health, More Damage

In Cruel Difficulty, everything mostly stays the same in this quest. The only difference would be that the enemies now deal more damage and have more health. Enemy drops and items are also now of higher quality.
