Dodging is an essential combat mechanic to survive encounters in Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2). Check out this guide to learn how to dodge and when to dodge!

How to Dodge

Press Spacebar/O/B to Dodge

Keyboard Press Spacebar
Controller Press O/B

On the mouse and keyboard, you can press Spacebar/O/B to Dodge. This lets your character perform a quick roll to get out of harm's way. During the roll, you can continue in one direction or change directions mid-roll.

No Stamina/Resource Needed to Dodge

You can dodge as many times as you want in the game, there's no stamina bar or any resource you need to expend to perform a dodge roll.

When to Dodge

Dodge Telegraphed Attacks

Dodging can be useful to quickly get out of telegraphed attacks especially during boss fights. You are immune to most damage while dodge rolling so learn the right timings to avoid getting hit by big attacks.

Avoid Being Cornered

You can use dodge rolls to avoid being cornered if there's enough space when dealing with a horde of enemies. If you're running out of space, however, avoid dodge rolling into the mass of enemies since you'll likely end up in the middle of all of them.
