This is a Lightning Ranger endgame build designed to set up Magnetic Salvo with Shock, and Critical Hits to heavily burst down any foe up to Tier 16.
Early on, this build will mainly utilize Lightning Arrow and Lightning Rod for its progression. As the game progresses and Magnetic Salvo becomes available, you can transition to this build step-by-step!

For the first weapon, the Composite Bow provides a massive boost to this build's damage as it sports a healthy mix between high physical damage and attack speed, leading to high conversion rates for the skills included.
The second weapon is the Widowhail Crudebow since it increases Bonestorm's damage by providing multiple levels in conjunction with a Quiver that increases projectile skill levels. Remember to link the Widowhail Crudebow to Bonestorm so it automatically swaps to the weapon upon cast!
Both weapon sets will utilize the Visceral Quiver since its base effect gives the build a flat percentage increase to Critical Hit Chance, ultimately increasing this build's damage output.
The Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps turns the build's high innate attributes into a massive DPS boost by relatively increasing Attack Speed and Lightning Damage the higher your Dexterity and Intelligence are!
Since the build utilizes Energy Shield as an additional means of survivability, the Lunar Amulet's increased maximum Energy Shield is a substantial boost. If not available, find an amulet that still has the additional level to all projectile skills and spirit!
The Unset Rings allows for the build to slot in another Skill Gem, for which Conductivity is placed to improve overall DPS.
Apart from the specific equipment listed, stack as many Energy Shield, Evasion, and Elemental Resistances modifiers as possible to help survive in the higher Atlas tiers.
Additionally, get at least +90 Spirit on your amulet since this build utilizes multiple Spirit Skills!

The build utilizes Against the Darkness Time-Lost Diamond and a Time-Lost Emerald. With each Notable Passive inside their radius, these jewels should provide Lightning and Critical Hit Damage bonuses indicated in their modifiers.
Most of the jewels you are going to slot in will be Emeralds that provide you with attack damage and critical hit modifiers for maximized damage.

The best charm to slot in would be the Thawing Charm since it prevents you from being frozen, essentially a death sentence on higher tiers. Secondly, get a Stone Charm to prevent yourself from getting stunned.

The best slot-in for the Wayfarer Jacket should be Iron Runes to further increase its already high Evasion and Energy Shields. For the Helmet, Gloves, and Boots, slot in the Soul Core of Tacati to increase your Chaos Resistance!

Lightning Rod and Magnetic Salvo are the two skills you will use as your main attacks for bossing. When using the necessary critical and damage-enhancing support gems on Magnetic Salvo, you will be dealing up to 33,000,000 damage to bosses with this combo when set up with Bonestorm, Voltaic Mark, and Conductivity.
For mobbing, Lightning Arrow will be the go-to skill as it does not require a long set-up and is sufficient for clearing groups of enemies!

Note: To reflect the changes above, simply reroute into Escape Velocity and remove Dynamism.
The passive tree priority for overall DPS is to take nodes that grant Dexterity, Increased Quiver Effects, Attack Damage, Lightning Damage, Critical Hit Rate/Damage, Skill Speed, and Elemental Ailment Magnitude.
For the defenses, take nodes that grant bonuses to both Energy Shield and Evasion Rating as this build will rely on a high base Evasion for its survivability.
The ascendancy group nodes for the Deadeye Ascendancy, Endless Munitions, and Wind Ward are included. Endless Munitions grants you another projectile, allowing for quicker and deadlier attacks. Since the higher tiers like to swarm the player, Point Blank works as the better option here! Wind Ward then gives the build bonuses to Tailwind, allowing for better movement and evasion.
As a general note when progressing through the attribute highways, make sure to dedicate +20 on Strength to equip the necessary support gems.
Secondly, get some Intelligence stats so that you can slot in Bonestorm and Voltaic Mark while scaling the gloves. After that, fully prioritize Dexterity to equip the Expert Composite Bow and further increasing Evasion and Attack Speed!

Grenade Deadeye | Explosive Grenade Fires a bouncing Grenade that unleashes a devastating fiery blast when its fuse expires.
Flash Grenade Fires a bouncing Grenade that unleashes a Blinding, Stunning explosion when its fuse expires. This explosion can Blind both Allies and Enemies.
Gas Grenade Fires a bouncing Grenade that causes a burst of Poison gas when its fuse expires, damaging enemies and leaving behind a growing Poison cloud. Burning effects or Detonator skills will cause the cloud to explode in a fiery blast.

Voltaic Grenade Fires a bouncing Grenade that discharges an Electrocuting Lightning blasts when its fuse expires

Grim Feast Feeds on corpses to bolster your Energy Shield. While active, enemies and Reviving Minions that die in your Presence have a chance to drop Grim Remnants. Picking up a Grim Remnant grants you Energy Shield which can Overflow maximum Energy Shield.
Herald of Ice While active, Shattering an enemy with an Attack Hit will cause an icy explosion that deals Attack damage to surrounding enemies.
Herald of Thunder While active, killing Shocked enemies with Attack damage, will cause subsequent Attack hits to release lightning bolts which deals Attack damage to all surrounding enemies.
Bonestorm Channel to conjure a swarm of bone spikes in the air, then release to fire at the enemies and explode.
Cast on Shock While active, gains Energy when you Shock enemies and triggers socketed spells on reaching maximum Energy.
Lightning Arrow Fires a charged arrow at the target. On hitting an enemy or wall, the arrow will fire Chaining Lightning beams at nearby enemies.
Lightning Rod Fire an arrow that drops from above, creating a Lightning burst. The arrow remains in the ground, and any Chaining Lightning beams can Chain to it. When Chained to, the arrows release another Lightning burst.
Voltaic Mark Marks a target, making them more susceptible to being Shocked. When the Marked target dies, a Lightning nova erupts from their corpse. This nova does not use your Weapon Damage, and instead uses its own base Attack Damage.
Magnetic Salvo Aims skyward and fires energy missiles at lingering arrows or bolts created by other Lightning Attacks in front of you. The missiles explode if they land close to a lingering bolt or arrow, dealing more damage in a larger area but destroying that bolt or arrow in the process.

Shattering Concoction Pathfinder | Hypothermia Curses all targets in an area after a short delay, lowering their Cold Resistance.
Lightning Warp Teleports you inside the target's body, causing it to violently explode. Highlights enemies that can be culled, and can only be used on these enemies or Ball Lightning projectiles. The target is destroyed, and the explosion deals Lightning Damage to surrounding enemies and creates Shocked Ground.
Ball Lightning Fires a slow-moving projectile that repeatedly shoots bolts of lightning at nearby enemies.
