Trial of the Sekhemas

Upon reaching the Vastiri Plains, you will come upon the knowledge of the Trial of the Sekhemas; a necessary step for gaining the highest position. To participate, you must trap the soul of a Djinn in a solitary coin so that you may place it on a Relic Altar, forcing the Djinn to accompany you through the tribulations.

If you prefer Roguelikes that allow you to maneuver rooms diverse challenges for more significant rewards as you delve deeper into the darkness, the Trial of the Sekhemas is best for you!

The Trial of Chaos

Upon exploring the vast treescapes of the Vaal Jungle, you will come across the Temple of Chaos. Inside this temple are the last vestiges of a time when the Vaal worshipped Chaos itself, holding the Trial of Chaos used to test their High Priests. Entry to the trial requires you to receive a token from The Trialmaster.

If you prefer dungeons that feel like ever-changing gauntlets that keep you on your toes with new mechanics albeit having some sense of agency, the Trial of Chaos is recommended for you!

Ascension Trial Mechanics

Honor System

Preserving your honor in front of the countless descendants of the trials is key to succeeding in the trials and reaching Ascension. As soon as the trial starts, the player must avoid as much damage as possible while minding the time spent in each room.

Reward System

Having witnessed great character and strength, the trials compensate the players' skill with bountiful loot! Alongside having the option to choose your Ascendancy Class after defeating the final boss, you will be presented with chests of varying rarities.

Depending on how many rooms you have cleared and how difficult the modifiers are, you can unlock rarer chests that contain significantly better items! It would be in your best interest to be well-prepared and kitted out before attempting these trials.

Entry to Ascendancy Classes

Ascension Trials are currently the only available methods to ascend each class to their respective Ascendancy Classes. Upon ascension, a class will receive drastic changes that ultimately change their playstyle in-game.

Sign over your allegiance to hellish creatures or control time itself, it is your choice after succeeding in the Ascension Trials!
