How to Unlock Recruit the Maraketh
Finish The Search Quest in Act 4
You will unlock the Recruit the Maraketh Interlude Quest upon finishing The Search, the main quest for Act 4.
Recruit the Maraketh Objectives
Speak to Asala in The Khari Bazaar
After the events of Act 4, talk to The Hooded One in Kingsmarch and select the Travel to the Vastiri Desert option.
Upon arriving in The Khari Bazaar, talk to The Hooded One and Sekhema Asala.
Travel to The Khari Crossing
All four sides of The Khari Bazaar have entrances to The Khari Crossing. Once here, you can go through the new area's several points of interest. You can also encounter the Akthl, the Final Sting and Anundr, the Sandworm optional boss fight for the Clearing the Way side quest.
It is recommended to explore the area by staying close to the outer edges before moving towards the middle.
Clearing the Way Quest Walkthrough
Pick Up The Molten One's Gift for 5% Increased Maximum Life
There is an entrance called Skullmaw Stairway that is found on the outer edge of The Khari Crossing. Upon entering, go through its narrow pathways until you find The Molten One's Gift at the end.
Interacting with this object will give you a permanent 5% increase to your Maximum Life.
Find the Pools of Khatal Entrance
As you explore The Khari Crossing, you may encounter structures called a Wayfinder's Seal. Interacting with these structures will point you towards the Pools of Khatal entrance.
Note that you can also go straight to the Pools of Khatal entrance if you come across it while exploring the The Khari Crossing's outer edges.
Enter the Sel Khari Sanctuary
Go through the Pools of Khatal and look for the entrance to Sel Khari Sanctuary. The entrance can be found near a checkpoint, so keep an eye out for it!.
It is also highly recommended to defeat all enemies you encounter since they can drop Rangeen's Barya and Yoon's Barya.
Offer Rangeen's and Yoon's Barya to Their Respective Pedestal
Once you have Rangeen's and Yoon's Barya, look for their pedestals on the left and right sides of the area. Their pedestals can also be found across from one another, making them easy to complete.
Offering the Baryas to their respective pedestal will you a choice between getting a ring, an amulet, or a jewel. Since there are only two pedestals, you can only choose two out of the three available options for your reward. You will be given three options of your chosen reward type.
Defeat Elzarah, The Cobra Lord
At the end of the Sel Khari Sanctuary, you will have to fight and defeat Elzarah, The Cobra Lord. It is a giant snake-like boss that uses several AoE projectile attacks to deal damage. Upon defeating the boss, talk to Asala.
Look for the Galai Gates Entrance in Khari Crossing
Go back to The Khari Crossing and look for the Galai Gates entrance. You cannot use the Wayfinder's Seal to find this entrance, so you will have to explore on your own.
Defeat Vornas, The Fell Flame
Once you enter the Galai Gates, you will have to go fight through enemy packs until you reach the other side of the area. Once you reach the other side, a giant door will open, prompting the Vornas, The Fell Flame boss fight.
Enter and Explore Qimah
Upon defeating Vornas, the entrance to Qimah will open. Enter Qimah and go through the area until you find a checkpoint where you can summon Jado nearby.
Enter and Explore Qimah Reservoir
After talking to Jado, enter the Qimah Reservoir and fight through enemy waves. At the other side of the area lies this interlude quest's final boss.
Use Vial of Sacred Water on Sacred Wells
You will get a Vial of Sacred Water through enemy drops and another one in a chest nearby a checkpoint. Note that the chest containing the vial can also be found in the Bloodbildge boss area.
To use the Vial of Sacred Water. interact with a Sacred Well found within Qimah Reservoir. There are two Sacred Wells, and each well can only accept one Vial. Upon pouring the Vial of Sacred Water, you will be rewarded with an Exalted Orb.
Defeat Azmadi, Faridun Prince
You will encounter a wide area with several worshippers sitting still. Proceed towards the front and wait for the Azmadi, Faridun Prince boss fight to start. Upon defeating the boss, interact with the Grand Barya and talk to Asala. This concludes this Interlude Quest.
