How to Unlock Cataclysm's Wake
Finish Cruel Act 3
You can unlock The Cataclysm's Wake after finishing Act 3 on Cruel difficulty.

1. Use the Map Device to See if It Is Functional
Interact with the Map Device behind Doryani in the Ziggurat Refuge. From here, select the map you want to complete, insert your Waystone, and click “Traverse”. This action will bring you back to the map device, where portals to the selected map will appear, ready for you to enter.
Get Different-Tiered Waystones
Before starting Cataclysm's Wake, you'll need Waystones—essential items for traversing maps. These Waystones come in various tiers, with Tier 1 Waystones available for purchase from Doryani at the start of the quest.
You can get higher rarity Waystones by reforging three Waystones of the same tier or you can randomly obtain them from killing mobs within different maps.
2. Complete the Map
Defeat all Rare and Unique Monsters within the area to complete maps. Rare Enemies will show up as yellow skulls when viewing your map, while Unique Enemies show up as orange skulls.
We recommend killing as many mobs as possible too for a chance to get higher-tiered waystones!
3. Report to Doryani That the Map Device Is Functional
Create a Portal back to Town and talk to Doryani.
4. Travel to the Corrupted Biome
Use more waystones to make your way to maps with a red icon above them.
5. Investigate the Corrupted Map
Enter a Corrupted Map using a Waystone.
6. Complete the Corrupted Map
Defeat all Rare and Unique Monsters within the area to complete the map.
7. Travel to the Corrupted Nexus
Make your way to a Corrupted Nexus, found near other corrupted areas. Only Waystones with 4 or more Explicit Modifiers can be used to enter a Corrupted Nexus, so make sure to keep a Normal rarity Waystone just in case you don't find a Waystone with Rare rarity!
8. Discover the Radiating Source of Corruption
Defeat all Rare Monsters and the Corrupted Boss to clear the Corrupted Nexus.
9. Complete a Tier 2 - Tier 15 Corrupted Nexus
From here onwards, you will need to more Corrupted Nexuses using increasingly higher-tier Waystones.
It is important to note that using a higher-tier Waystone only counts up to your current objective. For example, if you use a Tier 3 Waystone when the objective specifies Tier 2+, you will still need to clear another Corrupted Nexus with a Tier 3+ Waystone afterward.
Cataclysm's Wake Map Device Not Working
Fix By Re-Entering the Area
Some players have reported that they can't interact with the map device in The Ziggurat Refuge (Past). We have found that to fix this, all players need to do is to teleport out of the area and re-enter it again. The device should have no problem operating from this point onwards.
