This is a guide for the Atlas Skill Tree in Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2). Read on for a guide on how to progress the Atlas Skill Tree, what the best setup is, a list of Atlas skills, and how to get Atlas skill points!

Two passives have been reworked in 0.3.0. The Detailed Records Expedition Notable no longer gives 30% increased Quantity of Logbooks Dropped by Runic Monsters and now gives +1 to Level of Expedition Logbooks found in your Maps and all Logbooks found in your Maps now have 4 Implicit Modifiers.
The He Approaches Ritual Notable no longer provides 30% increased chance for Ritual Favors to contain Audience with the King. Instead, it now increases the chance for Revived Monsters from Ritual Altars in your Maps to be Magic/Rare from 20% to 40%.

Nodes in the Atlas skill tree that affect waystones are a must, since you need waystones to access different maps in the Atlas. There's a node in the main Atlas skill tree that increases the quantity of waystones found in the maps you play, giving you a better chance of obtaining them to avoid out.
These nodes are important to get since waystones can be quite expensive, especially the ones with higher tiers.
One of the nodes in the tree increases the quantity of mobs, both normal and rare, that spawn on your maps to help you farm items and waystones more efficiently. However, make sure you're fully prepared to face the increased number of enemies to avoid dying and consuming a waystone in the process.

If you don't have enough skill points for the Atlas passives yet, you can respec them based on the what you need. For example, you can choose to increase the number of monsters to level up quickly, then respec and allocate the points to increase the chance of rare items dropping to improve your gear.
Doryani can be found in the Ziggurat Refuge, the main hub of the Atlas, where you can respec your Atlas skill points ands buy waystones of different tiers.

Shown above is the recommended skill tree for general use. It contains a balanced mix of currency, damage, and loot, which are all part of establishing a smooth endgame experience.
Build towards Crystalline Growths for more Essences, so you can start crafting better gear. Path towards the Places of Worship node to encounter Shrines more often, which grant powerful buffs as you go through maps. The Prayer for Guidance node is especially useful for increasing your experience, item rarity, and gold.
Lastly, getting the Local Knowledge node gives a significant boost in the currency and loot you gain. These are vital for improving your build or trading.

The skill tree layouts above are meant to provide greatly increased rewards at the cost of more difficult events. To obtain more points for Breach, Expedition, Ritual, and Delirium, you will need to defeat their respective Pinnacle Bosses in increasing difficulty.
To gain access to the bosses, you will need to collect the different Splinters dropped by each event. Higher difficulties will require more Splinters, so you will need to farm for them.
Lastly, you can obtain Map Boss skill points by defeating a Level 79+ Map Boss, Level 80+ Map boss, Level 79+ Deadly Map Boss, Level 79+ Citadel Boss, and the completion of the The Pinnacle of Flame Quest.

When you first reach the Atlas endgame, prioritize scouting and completing Corrupted Nexuses to earn more Atlas Passive Points. Early on, it's best to invest into Waystone sustain to keep maps flowing.
As you gain more points, pick up the Ecological Shift keystone, which reduces regular monster packs but increases random extra content. This trade-off speeds up map clearing and makes Essences appear more often, providing a steady source of early currency.

For faster and safer mapping when scouting for Corrupted Nexuses, Unique Maps, and Citadels, spec into Shrines instead of Essences. Shrine buffs make clearing maps even much quicker, helping you scout for Corrupted Nexuses,Unique Maps, and Citadels more efficiently.
If you’ve built up a good amount of gold, also invest into Strongbox nodes to hunt for the Ventor's Contraption Unique Strongbox, where you can gamble your gold for a shot at massive rewards.

Once you have a strong build and plenty of Tablets and Towers set up, it's time to start “juicing” your maps. Invest in Atlas Passives that boost Waystone and Tablet modifier effects, then add extra mechanics like Breach or Delirium to maximize your loot.
Be warned: juiced maps are significantly much harder due different stacking modifiers with each having increased effects. Make sure your build is strong defensively and offensively before diving in.

Completing Corrupted Nexuses at different tiers as part of Doryani's endgame quest rewards you with Crystalline Shards of Knowledge, each granting 2 Atlas Passive Points.
You can earn up to 30 Atlas Passive Points by completing your first Corrupted Nexus and additional Nexuses using Waystones from tiers 2 to 15.

Completing five different Unique Maps in the Atlas rewards you with Books of Unique Knowledge, each granting 2 Atlas Passive Skill Points. In total, you can earn 10 Atlas Passive Points by clearing Unique Maps.
Unlocking passives in the Atlas skill tree modifies how the maps work in the Atlas of Worlds. Some passives affect maps of a certain biome, increasing the rewards dropped from those biomes.

There are different passive trees for the different events in the Atlas. This is made so players won't have to respec their points should they take on different events.
