Path of Exile 2 supports various game controllers, from first party controllers such as the DualShock 4, Dualsense, and Xbox wireless controllers to third party X-Input controllers. The game has an option to automatically detect a controller's layout but you can also switch this manually.

For players that want to use a controller on PC, you will need to exit the game to the main menu or the character selection screen as you cannot change your input method while in a game.

Bind Skills Upon Switching Inputs

POE 2 - Bind Skills after Switching Inputs

Upon switching from mouse and keyboard to controller, be sure to bind your skills as the game does not automatically rebind your skills from your previous input. To do this, you can hold down the Touchpad on a Dual Shock 4 or DualSense then select the Skills option from the wheel.

From there, you can select from your available skills and choose which button to bind.
