Out of the various endgame mechanics in the Atlas, the most significant ones are listed in the table above, with a brief description of each.

After the campaign, players may also complete and conquer harder versions of the Trial of Sekhemas and Trials of Chaos to get all eight ascendancy points.
Players can also do these trials to face the Pinnacle Bosses Zarokh and the Trialmaster to get valuable loot and rewards.

Another major thing to do in the endgame is to start divulging into currency collection and trading. The more players explore the Atlas, the more likely they will obtain higher-valued currencies and items. They can sell these items in the marketplace, earning more currency.
With more currency, players can get better items for themselves, which inevitably helps them acquire more items or currencies faster and more efficiently, creating a cycle.
| Item / Currency | How to Get |
|---|---|
| Crisis Fragments (Ancient Crisis, Faded Crisis, Weathered Crisis) | Citadel |
| Omens | Purchase in Rituals using Tributes |
| An Audience with the King | The King of the Miists |
| Sacred Flame Shrine Sceptre | The Arbiter of Ash |
| Djinn Barya | Tier 10 Waystones + |
| Inscribed Ultimatum | Tier 10 Waystones + |

As implied earlier, one of the player's objectives during the endgame is to improve and min-max their builds. This involves increasing their levels and continuously optimizing their gear and stats when possible. The more built a character is, the more they'll thrive and be capable of playing different content in the endgame.

The final endgame quest is The Burning Monolith quest, where you face the Arbiter of Ash. This encounter requires collecting three Crisis Fragments from different Citadels to unlock the boss arena. Successfully defeating the Arbiter not only concludes the questline but also rewards you with unique items and points for the Burning Monolith section of your Atlas passive tree.

Pinnacle Bosses are the toughest enemies in Path of Exile 2 and act as major milestones in your endgame progression. These encounters test your build’s strength, mechanics knowledge, and reaction time. Defeating them often rewards powerful loot, including unique items!

Pinnacle Boss Drops and Guides
Aim to consistently farm Tier 16 maps. These can be obtained by using Vaal Orbs on Tier 15 maps, which have a chance to upgrade them. Applying Distilled Emotions to these maps introduces Delirium mechanics, increasing their difficulty and rewards.
Moreover, running Tier 16 maps in areas with Corruption or Irradiation modifiers effectively increases the monster level, leading the community to refer to them as Tier 17 or Tier 18 maps, despite these tiers not officially existing. This strategy allows for greater challenges and potential rewards, pushing your build to its limits.

Players should increase their survivability upon arriving at the endgame by getting decent gear and equipment. The biggest wall players face when starting the endgame is survivability, as enemies deal more damage, especially in higher-tiered Waystones or maps.

Given this, players must prioritize increasing elemental and chaos resistances alongside either maximum life or energy shields, depending on what the player uses. Doing so gives them exponentially higher defenses against attacks and hits.
Players should aim for at least 30-40% elemental resistances with lower-tiered Waystones and continue to cap them to 75% as they run higher-level maps.

Players can trade with other players using Exalted Orbs or items obtained throughout the campaign to get better equipment. Decent equipment for the start of the Atlas is relatively cheap, only costing around one exalt per armor piece or accessory.

After increasing survivability, the next priority is to secure a stable source of Waystones to map continuously. Getting these Waystones will be difficult at first since they are relatively rare. However, below are a few methods to acquire them more often.

While players can finish an Atlas map by only killing the rare monsters, they should aim to clear out all enemies as they can drop Waystones. Likewise, players should open and break containers as they can also drop Waystones.

Players can also purchase Waystones from Doryani in their Hideouts or Ziggurat Encampment as a last resort. He usually sells tier 1 Waystones, but can sometimes sell Waystones up to tier 5.
Alternatively, players can run maps in the cruel campaign, as Waystones can drop there. However, this method is not optimal as the drop chances are considerably low.

Instilling waystones used to be the main method of boosting maps. After the 0.4.0 update, the focus has shifted to modifying tablets instead. You can boost tablets to have affected maps drop better loot and grant more EXP at the cost of a higher difficulty. However, players should prioritize staying alive and avoid instilling modifiers they cannot handle.

Players should also maximize their Atlas Skill Tree to make their Atlas progression smoother and more efficient. They will want to prioritize nodes that increase Waystone drop chances, like Constant Crossroads, to make mapping sustainable.
Afterward, players can prioritize increasing the number of rare monsters on maps with nodes like Twin Threats to receive more valuable loot per map.

To better their endgame experience, players can utilize different items and currencies. For example, players can use Regal Orbs, Exalted Orbs, or Distilled Emotions to better Waystones by adding more modifiers.
Another example is to use Precursor Tablets to instill maps with specific map mechanics like Breach, making it easier to farm these endgame mechanics.

While mapping in the endgame, players should avoid dying at all costs, as they lose 10% of their total XP bar when they die.
This could set players back significantly, especially if they are min-maxing their builds and characters. The higher level they are, the more experience they lose.
Instead of rushing towards Level 100 (which can be brutal and unrealistic for most players), focus on running safer maps with high mob density and fast clear speeds. Stick to layouts you know well, and avoid content that spikes your death rate. You can also save waystones that roll Increased EXP
mods as these can be a great boost when you're grinding out the last few levels.

Teaming up in Path of Exile 2 offers significant advantages. Each additional party member increases item quantity by approximately 11%, up to a 51% boost in a full six-player party. Currency and jewelry drops, in particular, can see substantial increases, making group play highly rewarding.

Runes, Idols, and Soul Cores are items that can be socketed into your gear to enhance your build. Runes boost things like elemental damage or life leech and can be added to weapons and armor. Idols, which were previously called Talismans, are special amulets that slot into specific equipment for extra bonuses. Soul Cores are like super-charged Runes, offering even more powerful buffs.
