The Rust King will often ignite his weapons and launch them at you in various ways. Check each of its motion to see which directions the weapons will fly to avoid them.

Defeat Ancient Ezomytes

You will encounter an attack wherein The Rust King raises his weapon, a bolt of lightning encircles the area, and Ancient Ezomytes emerge and may be able to surround you. Make sure to deal with these smaller enemies before focusing back on The Rust King.
