Fissures and Abyssal Pits

Fissures and Abyssal Pits

As you progress through the new league, you will eventually encounter Fissures which can spawn various mobs and Rare enemies throughout the area. Defeat the monsters to activate the Pit and spawn more dangerous Abyssal Invaders for you to kill. Clearing the Pit will seal it shut and reward you with an Abyssal Armory which contains high tier loot.

Do note that these monsters can also drop an Essence of the Abyss, which you can use on your equipment to gain even more modifiers.

Clearing Abyssal Pits can also drop Gnawed Jawbones which can add a special hidden modifier to your equipment. Once you reach Act 2 of the campaign, you will find a new area called the Well of Souls where you can offer your Abyssal-infused items to reveal the hidden modifier attached to it and give you 3 modifier choices.

Keep in mind that this can also be used on Waystones to gain Abyssal modifiers for your map runs, further increasing your chances of gaining Abyssal items.

Abyssal Depths

Abyssal Depths

Clearing Abyssal Pits will sometimes reveal an underground cavern that leads to the Abyssal Depths, an Abyssal City swarming with legions of undead. Every Rare enemy in this area will have an Abyssal modifier attached to them, yielding specific rewards such as Lineage Support Gems, Omen of Abyssal Echoes, and the Ulaman's Gaze rune.

Furthermore, you can find Ancient Spires that contains a powerful Commander for you to defeat as you explore the underground city. There are a total of 4 bosses you can find in the Abyss League that can drop new Uniques so make sure to keep an eye out for them.

Rise of the Abyssal Release Date

Releases on August 29, 2025

The Rise of the Abyssal league will be released on August 29, 2025 together with The Third Edict update. Do note that a new league will reset the economy and will require you to create a new character to participate in the current league.
