Know What Ground Effect Each Section of the Arena Has

Section	Move and Ground Effect
3rd Level (Near the exit)	Flying Fire Breath - Leaves temporary Burning Ground that Ignites
2nd Level (Between all the stairs)	Ice Breath - Leaves temporary Chilled Ground that Chills
1st Level (Swamp section)	Lightning Balls - Leaves permanent Shocked Ground that Shocks

Uxmal has three special moves, each tied to one of the three levels of the arena. These moves leave distinct ground effects, so adapt your strategy and gameplay based on the section of the arena you’re in.

Each ground effect poses unique threats and requires a different approach: Shock increases all damage you take, Chill slows your actions and leaves you vulnerable, and Ignite steadily depletes your Life.

Keep Moving Throughout the Arena

This boss fight will require you to keep moving for several reasons:

Uxmal Moves Between the Three Floors

The arena is vast compared to other boss fights, and this boss periodically flies between the three layers the arena has. You must keep chasing to maintain your damage output towards the boss.

Giant Orb Attack

A giant red orb will frequently appear above your head. This orb will track your position for some time before stopping and exploding. Keep moving to avoid taking damage from this attack!

AoE Attacks Upon Fighting

Uxmal, the Beastlord AoE Attack
Upon seeing it in one of the arena's levels, the boss will often unleash several of its various AoE attacks. Though they may differ in element or debuff, they are mostly conical frontal attacks.

All Attack Patterns

Moves	Details and Tips
Giant Homing Orb	Uxmal conjures a giant orb that floats above you. After a short pause, it will come crashing down and deal damage. Once you see the orb stop moving, quickly move out of its way.
Fireball	Uxmal throws a fireball in your direction. The projectile itself is quite slow and gives you ample time to dodge out of the way.
Flamethrower	Uxmal breathes fire and swivels its head from side to side. Position yourself out of its range or go behind the boss to counterattack.
Fire Beam	While flying, Uxmal spews fire downwards. The attack is slow, and gives you ample time to dodge sideways.
Poison Barrage	Uxmal unleashes a barrage of poison and swivels side to side. Go beside or behind the boss and take the opportunity to counterattack.
Ice Beam	Uxmal focuses a beam of ice into the ground, freezing the ground and dealing gold damage. Make sure to move out of its range during the attack.
Lightning Strike Combo	Uxmal releases numerous small orbs that move around and emit lightning. After a short period, lightning will strike where the orbs are. Make sure to stay away from these orbs to avoid taking damage.
