How to Unlock Whakapanu Island

Unlock Boat Charter in Act 4

You can unlock this quest by sailing to Whakapanu Island using the ship in Kingsmarch.

Explore Whakapanu Island

Whakapanu Island

Once you reach Act 4 and unlock the ship in Kingsmarch, sail to Whakapanu Island. It is recommended to go to this island first because it has several significant quest items.

Defeat the Great White One

Great White One Boss Fight
Within the island, you will find an area called the Shark Pit, where you must defeat the Great White One. To trigger the boss fight, move closer to the area's edge near the water.

Upon defeating the boss, you will receive various loot and the Shark Fin quest item used in Tribal Medicine.

There is another section within the island called the Crabshell Cavern. Moving close enough will trigger a boss fight with a giant crab called Crawlcrunch.

Pick up the Torn Map Piece

Whakapanu Island Torn Map Piece

There is a checkpoint within the area that has a Petrified Pirate nearby. Interacting with it will drop a Torn Map Piece, which is important for the Forgotten Bounty quest.

Enter and Explore the Singing Caverns

Singing Caverns Entrance

Look for the entrance to the Singing Caverns, the island's second area. Keep going through the area until you find the Chamber of Echoes, which is where Diamora, Song of Death can be found.

Pick Up the Beckoning Clam

Beckoning Clam Trap
You will find the Beckoning Clam within one of the narrow pathways of the Singing Caverns. It can be found nearby a checkpoint, so keep an eye out for it! When you interact with the Beckoning Clam, several enemies will spawn.

Once you defeat them, the Humming Pearl item will drop. Give the pearl to Rog back in Kingsmarch to obtain a Pearlescent Amulet,which grants additional elemental resistances.

Kill Diamora, Song of Death

Diamora, Song of Death Boss Fight

Diamora, Song of Death is the final boss of the area, and uses numerous water-based attacks to deal cold damage, so make sure to boost your cold resistance! Check out our guide below for more tips on how to defeat this boss!
