Reward from Trial of Chaos

Reward from Trial of Chaos

Soul Cores are obtained as a reward for defeating bosses in the Trials of Chaos. The Trialmaster will show you which Soul Core you will receive upon killing the boss.

The Trials of Chaos are found in the Vaal Jungle during Act 2. You'll need Ultimatums to start a trial which are dropped at random by enemies.

What Are Soul Cores?

Socketable Items With Specialized Modifiers

Soul Cores are artifacts of Chaos inserted into either Weapon or Armor with empty sockets to give them substantial buffs to their offense or survivability. However, the main difference is that Soul Cores have specialized modifiers compared to Runes, such as Bleeding and Ignite.

Socketed Soul Cores Can be Replaced with Other Runes

Soul Cores are not retrievable through salvaging or disenchanting, but they can be replaced with any Rune or Soul Core at the cost of destroying the already slotted-in item.
