Red Wall on Boss Areas

Entering stages or areas where you'll be fighting bosses spawns a red wall surrounding the area, preventing you from escaping until one of you is defeated in combat.

It may not be visible sometimes, as the red walls are replaced with other elements such as destroyed debris, locked gates, or overgrown vines.
