Dodge Roll in Rhythm in the Spear Phase Get Chaos and Poison Damage Reduction

Dodge Roll in Rhythm During the Spears Phase to Avoid Damage

Aside from the heavy Poison damage Viper can deal, her legion’s spear phase poses a significant challenge. The best strategy is to Dodge Roll in a consistent rhythm, regardless of when an attack seems imminent. This method ensures you remain safe without second-guessing your timing.

Stay Close to the Shield

Alternatively, you can get close to shield and watch out if the shield beside you lights up green. This way, you'll have an easier time spotting the shields that glow and are preparing to attack.

Watch Out for the Seventh Attack

The seventh attack in this phase is a sweeping wave of spear strikes originating from one side. Its starting point is random, but you can spot it by the glowing spears. Stay alert and Dodge Roll toward the wave's origin as it approaches.

Get Chaos and Poison Damage Reduction

Viper is perhaps the first difficult boss that deals most of their damage as Chaos damage. You will constanly get Poisoned in this fight and get hit by Chaos damage. It's heavily recommended to bring an Antidote Charm for Poison Immunity and a good source of Chaos Resistance, such as Amethyst Rings.

Alternatively, Just Get More Life Modifiers

Since Chaos Resistance is a difficult stat to get, the next best defensive you can get on your gear is as much Life as you can, especially during the campaign.
