Path of Exile 2 - How to Reset Instance

Resetting instances can help you progress through Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2). Find out how to reset instance on PC and console, and learn the benefits of using this feature.

How to Reset Instance

Use the Instance Manager

Instance Manager
An instance can be reset by opening the Instance Manager and clicking on the New button.

You can open the Instance Manager by pressing ctrl+left click on the entrance to an area or on the Waypoint map. If you're playing on a controller, this is done by pressing the Triangle button for PS5 and the Y button for Xbox.

Wait a Few Minutes

According to an in-game hint, instances will be reset automatically after being left alone for about 8 to 15 minutes. This will get rid of any portals or missed drops left behind.

Resetting instances is commonly used to farm bosses. This can help you save some time when you want to clear a boss multiple times to try and get Unique equipment.
