This is a guide to spending your premium points and buying the right stash tabs in Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2). See which stash tabs are perfect to get for each player, when to buy these stash tabs, as well as unlock in-game trading in the game.

Attention	The content in this guide is based on existing tabs that are currently in POE 1 and while the majority of tabs from 1 will be ported to 2, not all of them will follow suit and may also be changed in some form. Stay tuned for more updates as the game releases on December 6th.

Premium Stash Tabs

A premium stash tab functions like a regular tab but it will also allow you to change its color allowing you to customize the tab to your liking. However, the key reason we want to get a premium stash tab is to trade its items on the market.

This will allow you to access the game's trading and offer the items you get to other players and get something of equal value. You can get a Premium stash tab by buying it or upgrading a regular tab to a premium one.

Currency Tabs

Currency tabs is an entire stash tab that will be focused on storing all the in-game currencies that you can farm. This will sort them automatically in a more organized way and give you a view of how much of a specific currency you currently have.

Map Tab

The map tab is a stash tab that will hold all the maps and waystones that you get as you cruise through the game. While this may not seem useful to players, once you get to the later stages of the game, you'll quickly rack up some of these maps and waystones and they'll quickly occupy a lot of space in your inventory.

By getting the map tab, you'll be able to quickly dump these items into this tab and quickly sort them by levels and type as well as organize your inventory much easier in the long run.

Divination / Card Tab

The divination or card tab is a stash tab that stores all the divination cards you get. These are items that you can redeem to an NPC to get specific items and can be useful for target farming-specific items in the game. It is still currently unknown if Divination cards will make it back to PoE 2 so stay tuned for updates regarding this stash tab.

Essence Tab

The essence tab is another tab we highly recommend getting. Essences are items you can use to add new properties to existing items of certain rarities. Each essence has a chance of granting unique effects so storing a lot of these is highly recommended when crafting your build.

When to Buy Stash Tabs

When you Start Getting Items of that Type

Rarely will you start getting a massive amount of items in the game when starting out in Path of Exile. However, once you quickly breeze through the game, you'll start getting more and more items. Once you start getting multiple copies of a specific item type, consider buying a tab that will store these items for easier sorting.

Buy During Sales

There are sale periods in the game that allow you to buy tabs for a lesser price. As premium points cost money to get, consider saving your points and only purchasing tabs during sales to maximize their value!
