Path of Exile 2 Full Release Date

Expected to Release in About 6 to 12 Months After Early Access

Grinding Gear Games hasn't announced a date for Path of Exile 2's full release yet. However, it's speculated that the game will leave early access after after 6 to 12 months, likely in the second half of 2025.

The first game launched its full release version 9 months after the open beta, and this supports the speculation that the full release of Path of Exile 2 may also arrive roughly a year or less after early access. We will update this page as soon as more information becomes available, so be sure to check back regularly!

Acts 4 to 6 Replaces Cruel Difficulty

Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2) All Acts

Acts 4 to 6 will be added during the full release, replacing the Cruel difficulty entirely. The Cruel difficulty is the current solution that makes players replay the first three acts on a higher difficulty to help level up for the Atlas endgame.

Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2) Ascendancy Classes

With the Dawn of the Hunt update, there are now 7 base classes in the game and 17 different Ascendancies tied to them. The community is expecting that Druid and other Ascendancy classes are also going to be released during the Early Access phase, leaving us with half of the remaining classes yet to come.

Once the game fully releases, we're expecting a total of 12 base classes and 3 Ascendancies for each, totaling up to 36 Ascendancies, to become available!

The 3rd ascendancy trial will become available in the full release, adding one more method of obtaining your ascendancy class and ascendancy skill points, alongside the Trial of Sekhemas and the Trial of Chaos.

New Equipment and Uniques

Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2) New Equipment and Unique

Equipment are tied to Acts in Path of Exile 2, and new equipment and uniques may become available as acts 4 to 6 will feature different enviroments and lore. With the recent 0.2.0 patch, Advanced and Expert versions of equipment were renamed into different weapons but have yet to change their appearance as discussed by the devs.

On top of even more Uniques, new weapon and armor skins for these new base types are expected on the game's full release.
