Expected to Release in About 6 to 12 Months After Early Access

Grinding Gear Games hasn't announced a date for Path of Exile 2's full release yet. However, it's speculated that the game will leave early access after after 6 to 12 months, likely in the second half of 2025.

The first game launched its full release version 9 months after the open beta, and this supports the speculation that the full release of Path of Exile 2 may also arrive roughly a year or less after early access. We will update this page as soon as more information becomes available, so be sure to check back regularly!

Acts 4 to 6 Replaces Cruel Difficulty

Acts 4 to 6 will be added during the full release, replacing the Cruel difficulty entirely. The Cruel difficulty is the current solution that makes players replay the first three acts on a higher difficulty to help level up for the Atlas endgame.

All Classes and Ascendancies

Only 6 classes and 2 ascendancies for each class are available during the early access. Once full release comes, all 12 classes and 3 ascendancies for each class, totaling up to 36 ascendancies, becomes available!

3rd Ascendancy Trial

The 3rd ascendancy trial will become available in the full release, adding one more method of obtaining your ascendancy class and ascendancy skill points, alongside the Trial of Sekhemas and the Trial of Chaos.

New Equipment and Uniques

Equipment is tied to Acts in Path of Exile 2, and new equipment and uniques may become available as acts 4 to 6 will feature different enviroments and lore. Currently, Advanced and Expert versions of equipment are available as a temporary solution to the missing Acts. Advanced and Expert variants are the same equipment but with higher stats than their original counterparts.

Foil Reliquary Feature

Buying the Liberator of Wraeclast Supporter Pack grants you access to the Reliquary feature, which allows you to select any Unique item you've found and drop them into the Reliquary. This process turns the item into foil version that other players can find. The more uniques of the same type is submitted by players, the greater the chance for the Reliquary to drop foil versions of that item.

The only difference between the original and the foil versions is their color, and adds a shine and shimmer-like effect to the unique. This change does not affect an item's stats or modifiers in any way.
