How to Get the Rotten Satchel Charge

Defeat Torrek of the Drowned Fleet in the Castaway

The Castaway is a new unique map added to the game in patch 0.2.0. It's a map featuring a water biome filled with undead pirates and a huge amount of gold in the area.

To find the Rotten Satchel Charge, you'll need to head to the map's boss area and defeat Torrek of the Drowned Fleet. Once defeated, he'll drop the item for you to use on the new map.

How to Use the Rotten Satchel Charge

Place it on the Area With a Green Glowing Effect

The Rotten Satchel Charge can be used as an explosive on a marked area in the Castaway. It won't be shown on the map so you'll have to search for its location. However, this location will always be near the map's center. Once you find the zone, open your inventory and use the item (right click then left click on the PC) to place it on the glowing marker.

Reveal the Digging Spot By Interacting With 4 Treasure-Bound Souls

To reveal the digging site, you'll first have to interact with 4 treasure-bound souls. These souls are found around the map near checkpoints so you'll have to explore the said area to find these souls. Once done, the digging site will start showing the marked area with floating green souls as an indicator.

Gives You A Huge Amount of Gold

The Satchel Charge can be used to detonate an area in the Castaway. Once detonated, it will reveal a huge amount of treasure from the ground that you can loot. This makes the Castaway a perfect map to traverse if in you're dire need of gold.
