the snipers are also very good single target dps with their auto attack, the gas arrow is their group kill
You really want +1 or +2 for minions skill gems on your helmet and main hand weapon.

Any reason not to just use skeleton warrior skill gem and go with discipline on sceptre?
With the game being so new and so complex everyone is still learning what's best, so this is a great way to start! Love it!
