How to Beat Azmadi, the Faridun Prince

Tips to Beat Azmadi, the Faridun Prince

Watch Telegraphs Closely

Many attacks have telltale cues — specters forming, his jump arc, floating swords, glows around him, and so forth. Recognizing these early gives window to react.

Prepare for Phase 2

Once Azmadi drops below 50% health, Zarokh, the Temporal appears to empower him, making the fight faster and deadlier. Keep flasks charged and healing ready to endure the pressure.

Use the Arena Wisely

The arena is spacious, so keep moving to dodge effectively. Avoid getting pinned against walls or trapped in corners where escape is harder.

Azmadi Moves and Mechanics

Azmadi, the Faridun Prince Movesets
Phase 1 Phase 2

Phase 1

Move or Mechanic Details & How to Dodge
Sword Rush
Azmadi dashes forward before swinging his sword. Watch for the dash path and wind-up — when he lines up the charge, dodge or roll sideways. Maintain distance if you see him preparing to dash.
Boomerang Blade
Azmadi hurls a spinning sword in a straight line. It damages on the way out, then boomerangs back to him along the same path. Strafe sideways as it travels forward, and don't return to its line too early as the sword comes back.
Blade Wave
Azmadi sweeps his sword in a horizontal slash, then releases a straight-line energy blast forward. Step or roll to either side to avoid both the horizontal slash and the energy blast.

Phase 2

Move or Mechanic Details & How to Dodge
Bloodbound Seal
Zelina conjures a glyph on the floor; while you stand inside it she teleports around the mark, striking repeatedly. Avoid being inside the glyph.
Severing Waves
Azmadi unleashes three slashes, each sending a wave of energy straight ahead. Step or roll to the sides to avoid the waves, keeping distance between each slash
Mirage Ring
Azmadi disappears in an instant, leaving behind spectral blades that form a wide circle around you. After a brief pause, he reappears at one of the conjured swords and dashes inward, attempting to close the distance. When the circle forms, keep moving - Azmadi will always return at one blade before dashing inward.
Circle of Ruin
Azmadi leaps and summons mirrored copies in a ring. They slam down in unison, sending shockwaves that spread across five directions of the arena. When the ring forms, avoid standing in the gaps where the shockwaves will fire. Shift into a safe spot behind Azmadi..
Cleaving Conflux
As Azmadi lifts his sword overhead, several temporal clones converge into him. He then cleaves the ground ahead, causing heavy damage and leaving a slowing field. To dodge safely, move behind him before the strike lands..
