Merchant Tab is a new type of tab that supports the in-game trade market in Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2). Learn how to use the Merchant Tab, how to purchase one, and whether you can upgrade your existing Premium Tabs to the new tab.

The existing premium tab upgrade to merchant tabs is now expired from the Path of Exile 2 website.
The time period has expired for converting Premium Stash Tabs to Merhcant Tabs and is currently unavailable as of the Version 0.4.0 Patch until further notice.
The 0.3.0b patch allowed you to convert Extra Stash Tab purchases that were upgraded to Premium Stash tabs via the Upgrade to Premium Stash Tab purchase.
Note that this was only applicable for Premium Stash tabs purchased or upgraded before the 0.3.0 update.
0.3.0b Patch Notes and Summary
To buy a Merchant Tab, you can head to the microtransaction page and purchase a single piece of merchant tab for 40 points. Alternatively, you can also purchase a merchant tab bundle to get 6 merchant tabs for 200 points (saving you an additional 40 points on purchase).
Just like the previous premium tabs, the Merchant Tab lets you put up items for sale. These items will be viewable by other players in the PoE 2 market and if they wish to purchase the item, they can secure your item and buy it from the new NPC Ange and buy it from them with your designated price.
What this means is unlike the Premium Tabs, you yourself won't need to trade with players directly and instead, let the game handle the trade for you.
Items you have put up for sale will be available for trade from Ange once you put it up for sale on the tab. This still holds true even if you're not logged into the game which makes trades seamless and more efficient.
