The Castaway is a unique map that's centered around getting huge amounts of Gold. This is immediately evident as you enter as there will be several scattered gold that is multiple times higher than the amount of gold you would regularly find on normal maps.
Aside from a huge upsurge of gold, the map's main mechanic is to dig up a hidden treasure trove that also contains a gigantic amount of gold. To do this, you'll need to obtain the Rotten Satchel Charge from the area's boss and use it on the treasure site's location.
To reveal the treasure trove's location, you'll need to release the treasure-bound souls scattered around the map. After releasing 4 spirits, the treasure's site will be revealed, allowing you to use the Satchel to gain the map's treasure.
The Castaway is an area filled with tons of gold. It will naturally have an abnormally higher amount of gold even without the waystone but using waystone with increased gold will further amplify the loot in the area.
As the Castaway offers a lot of gold which is often not easy to target farm, bringing other players to join you will allow them to also partake in the gold farming map that you have. Having more players will increase the map's enemies which in turn, also increase the possible gold loot so having more players join you will be beneficial both for them and for you.
The Castaway Atlas map has a Water biome. It's an area filled with shipwreck and undead crew and with shipwrecks comes riches from the now dead plunderer's stash.
