How to Use the Tamed Beast Gem

Used to Capture a Rare Beast Type Monster

PoE 2 - Tame Beast
The Tamed Beast Gem allows you to capture a Beast-Type Rare Monster on the field and turn it into a companion Gem that you can equip to summon an ally at the cost of your Spirit.

How to Capture a Beast

Once you have the Gem equiped, use it to mark a Rare Beast-Type monster for capture using the Azmeri wisps. When this gem is equipped it will allow you to see a Monster's Category Type on the field, you can identify rare monsters by their yellow colored names.

If you defeat the beast while it is hindered by the wisps, it will get sucked into the gem. Turning your Tame Beast Gem into a Companion Gem. Take note that the Tamed Beast Gem will be permanently changed into the Companion Gem once used, if you want another Companion then you will need to cut a new gem. This Gem is account bound and cannot be traded.

How to Use Companion Gems

PoE 2 - Companion Gem
After Capturing a Rare Beast, it will retain four of its modifiers when summoned. Equip the Companion Gem into your active skills to summon your companion. The Spirit Reservation is percentage based depending on the size of your beast. This Summoned Companion will have all the Aura, Skills, and stats of the captured monster.

Companion Gems like other Skill Gems can be upgraded by using a higher tier uncut skill gem on it in the Gemcutting Window. You can also use Support Gems like Loyalty, Last Gasp, or Blind to improve your summoned Companion.

Description
Conjure Azmeri wisps to engulf a Rare Beast for a duration, Hindering them. If you defeat the Beast while it is engulfed in wisps, it will be captured by this gem, transforming the gem to instead allow you to summon the Beast as a Reviving Companion.
