Simulacrum Tips and Tricks

Avoid Getting Swarmed

Players should avoid getting swarmed by enemies, especially in later waves. As the number of waves increases, players become more delirious, and all monsters receive more modifiers, increasing their damage and survivability. Given this, getting swarmed will likely end in death, ending the Simulacrum run.

Be Resistant to Immobilization

Invest in Freeze

Players should invest in equipment and unlock skills that make them resistant to immobilization, like being stunned, frozen, or slowed. Getting inflicted by these statuses is severely detrimental, as players will likely get swarmed and spammed with attacks.

If players aim to continuously farm Simulacrums, then they may find it beneficial to make a Simulacrum build, mainly focusing on surviving the later waves either with extreme offensive or defensive setups.

Pick Up Items Before Starting a New Wave

Items on the Ground

Players should pick up any items on the ground before starting a new wave, as these items will disappear once they do. They can use the Stash nearby to store as much of loot as possible.

Raise Simulacrum Difficulty to Get Better Rewards

Increase Simulacrum Difficulty

Players should increase their Simulacrum difficulty throught the Delirium Atlas tree to get more valuable rewards. However, this results in fewer respawn attempts and more dangerous enemies. Given this, they should ensure that their builds are capable enough.

Simulacrum Mechanics

Delirium Map with Wave Mechanics

Simulacrum Waves

The Simulacrum is a unique map tied to the Delirium mechanic wherein players must go through 15 waves of enemies. The difficulty of each wave continuously increase as players become more delirious and enemies receive more modifiers.

To finish a wave, players must kill all the remaining enemies, including bosses. Meanwhile, to start a new wave, players must interact with the Strangely Familiar Entity.

Delirium Guide

Travel Through Multiple, Small Areas

Strangely Familiary Entity

As players complete waves, they will have to travel to different areas as the Strangely Familiar Entity moves. Each of these areas are enclosed when the wave starts and are relatively small, making players more prone to being swarmed.

Additionally, each of these areas has an accessible Stash and a one-time use portal to the Ziggurat Encampment or Hideout.

Increase Difficulty to Get More Loot

Simulacrum Difficulty

Players can increase the difficulty and rewards of Simulacrum maps by using Delirium Atlas points on Simulacrum Difficulty nodes. However, note that this comes at the cost of decreasing the number of respawn attempts available when running a Simulacrum map.
