Gem Renamed to Poison I

With the new patch for Version 0.3.0, Envenom has been renamed into Poison I and divided into 3 levels with increasing effects.

Why is Poison I Not Working?

Needs Physical and Chaos Damage to Poison

Poison I gives any skill that can Hit a 60% chance to apply Poison on enemies. Poison works in such a way that it converts Physical and Chaos damage for its Magnitude.

With that in mind, even if a skill can hit and has a 100% chance to Poison, it will not apply Poison if there is no Physical or Chaos damage since there will be no Poison Magnitude to derive from.

For example, a skill such as Spark can technically slot in Envenom. Since it only deals Lightning damage, no damage will be converted into Poison. However, if you were to slot in the Plaguefinger Gauze Wraps, most skills can apply Poison with Envenom!

The Envenom Gem appears to be bugged. There are multiple reports and complaints on it on the POE2 Wiki and Steam page. It only seems to work with some skills, even when it says it is compatible with others.
