The Dark Mists Limit Your Vision

Path of Exile 2 - Viridian Wildwood
Set in a murky, cursed swamp, the Viridian Wildwood twists traditional exploration with limited vision, eerie mechanics, and a darkness that refuses to lift.

The entire swamp is blanketed in unnatural dark mists, making it nearly impossible to see where you’re headed. Enemies lurk in these mists, and even landmarks are obscured until revealed, making it difficult to plan your route or spot enemies ahead of time.

You Can Only Reveal a Limited Amount of the Area

You’re not getting a full reveal here — you can only uncover a small portion of the map through exploration. This means choices matter. Every direction you take in the Viridian Wildwood could lead to an Omen Altar… or a dead end.

Wisps Reveal a Huge Chunk of the Map

Thankfully, Wisps act as map reveals. Interactiing up with one clears large sections of fog, giving you breathing room and better control of your path. Prioritize these to make the most of your limited visibility.
