How Does Ghost Dance Work?
Periodically Generates Ghost Shrouds
When the Ghost Dance Spirit Gem is active, you will periodically gain Ghost Shrouds. If you are hit while you have a Ghost Shroud, it will be consumed to recover Energy Shield based on your Evasion.
Ghost Dance synergizes well with Wind Dancer since it boosts your Evasion and knocks enemies back, allowing you to generate more Energy Shield when hit and maintain it for a longer period. Grim Feast is another great pairing for Ghost Dance since it will generate even more Energy Shield that can Overflow your maximum.

Unlock Ghost Dance Using an Uncut Spirit Gem
You can unlock the Ghost Dance Spirit Gem in the Gemcutting menu by engraving the skill using a Level 4 or higher Uncut Spirit Gem.

Does ghost dance mitigate all damage taken as well as transferring to energy shield. I'm playing a lightning monk and think I should pick herald of thunder but dark shroud in Diablo 4 was a lifesaver.
