The Bone Pits is an area you can access from Mastodon Badlands. You'll be led to this place if you're doing the A Theft of Ivory main quest.
This area consists mainly of open space with terrain spread throughout the region, with enemies such as Lost-Men Brute, Lost-Men Zealot, and Drudge Osseodon ready to attack you once you are close enough. You can quickly get surrounded and overwhelmed by many melee attacks and long-range spells.
Nearby a checkpoint, you will encounter the Iktab, the Deathlord, and Ekbab, the Ancient Steed, in the Blackrib Pit. You must fight Iktab and Ekbab simultaneously, with Ikbab using long-range AOE spells and Ekbab using charges, slams, and melee attacks.
Step | Objective |
---|---|
1 | Teleport or create a portal to The Ardura Caravan. |
2 | Proceed to the Desert Map near Sekhema Asala, towards the front of the caravan. |
3 | Look for the pin that says "Click to travel to Mastodon Badlands". You will be teleported to Mastodon Badlands upon clicking. |
3 | Mastodon Badlands Look for the entrance to The Bone Pits. Note that maps are randomly generated and this is only a sample layout meant as a general guide. |
The Bone Pits can only be unlocked after obtaining the quest A Theft of Ivory. This quest unlocks automatically during The Trail of Corruption quest in Act 2.
The Bone Pits and its previous area, Mastodon Badlands, may be accessed for the first time using the Desert Map in The Ardura Caravan. Once you travel through Mastodon Badlands and enter The Bone Pits, you will encounter a waypoint. Make sure to unlock this waypoint to avoid having to use the Desert Map every time you need to go here.
The map is fairly straightforward, with the boss, Iktab, the Deathlord, and Ekbab, the Ancient Steed being located on the opposite side of the area's waypoint. You must defeat them in order to complete the quest A Theft of Ivory
It is important to note that the areas are randomly generated and that the maps used are meant to serve as a general guide to the map layout.
