Sandswept Marsh Location Details

Sandswept Marsh is an area you will be teleported to upon finishing Act 2. Once here, the quest Legacy of the Vaal will be unlocked.

This area has a simple layout with long, open paths that lead you in different directions. Watch out for Bogfelled Commoners, who emerge from the murky waters and enemies such as , Rotting Hulks, and Bloodthief Queens who can quickly surround and overwhelm you. Somewhere along the paths, you will encounter the Foul Ritual, where you must fight Rootdredge. This bosses uses AOE spells and summons more Bogfelled Commoners, Bogfelled Slaves, and Rotting Hulks for you to fight.

How to get to Sandswept Marsh

Step	Objective
1	Defeat Jamanra, the Abomination at the end of the quest The Trail of Corruption.
2	Teleport or create a portal to The Ardura Caravan.
3	Talk to Sekhema Asala. A cutscene will play after this interaction, and will prompt you to go to Sandswept Marsh.

After talking to Sekhema Asala at the end of The Trail of Corruption, The Ardura Caravan will bring you to Sandswept Marsh to continue with your journey. This marks the beginning of Act 3, and will automatically start the Legacy of the Vaal Quest.

Sandswept Marsh is automatically unlocked after completing The Trail of Corruption Quest. It is also the first area you encounter in Act 3, and will lead you to Ziggurat Encampment, the Town for Act 3.

Upon entering Sandswept Marsh, the map divides into two main paths. One path will lead you to a Foul Ritual, where you can fight Rootdredge. The other path leads to a Hanging Tree and the Orok Campfire, both dropping additional loot and equipment. The entrance to Ziggurat Encampment can be found on the opposite end of the area's waypoint.

It is important to note that the areas are randomly generated and that the maps used are meant to serve as a general guide to the map layout.
