The Molten Vault is an area that can be accessed from The Drowned City. You'll be led to this place if you're doing the Treasures of Utzaal side quest.
This area is set up like a wide grid, with flowing lava passing through the area. The grid is separated by thick walls, with every room filled with machinery and enemies such as Gold-Melted Sentinels, Vaal Embalmed Rogues, and Gold-Melted Shamblers.
Be careful when exploring the area; the halls and rooms can get cramped, and the enemies can quickly corner and overwhelm you. Upon encountering The Aureaduct, you must defeat Mektul, the Forgemaster to progress in the quest Treasures of Utzaal.

| 2 | ![]() Proceed to the entrance to The Drowned City at the bottom of the encampment. |

The entrance to the Molten Vault can usually be found opposite of the Apex of Filth. You will see Oswald standing just outside the entrance to the vault.

Once you enter The Molten Vault from Ziggurat Encampment, you will encounter a waypoint. The area leads you to a series of rooms arranged like a grid, eventually reaching The Aureaduct, where you will fight Mektul, the Forgemaster.
The layout of The Molten Vault remains relatively the same. From the entrance, travel northeast and find the Aureaduct, where you can fight the boss. Only the rooms in between may vary each run.

While Mektul has a few dangerous attacks, the real challenge in this fight is the time limit. If you take too long, molten gold will flood the arena, dealing heavy Fire Damage every second. Adjust and optimize your build to ensure you defeat Mektul before the arena is overwhelmed!
