Randomly Drops Starting From Level 32 to 52

Dropped by Enemies in Act 2
Desert Rune starts to drop randomly when defeating enemies while your Exile is between levels 32 and 52. After reaching past that level group, Desert Runes will no longer drop.

Craft at a Reforging Bench
Desert Rune can also be obtained by crafting three Lesser variants of the Rune. You can combine Runes using a Reforging Bench.

Socket into Equipment

Socket into Equipment

Desert Rune is used by inserting it unto equipment with empty sockets to apply its effects on the specified equipment. Its effects will change depending on whether or not you inserted it into Armor or Weapon.

Desert Rune can be replaced with another Rune or Soul Core, but replacing your socketed Runes will cause the Rune to be destroyed.
