Turnips are famously known for being sold for profit. You can sell them for Bells at Nook's Cranny, and prices vary each day. Depending on when you decide to sell, you might end up losing Bells or making a profit.
The best way to find high prices is to look for islands with profitable turnip rates. Some islands buy turnips for over 500 Bells each, allowing you to earn a huge profit. You can ask friends or check other communities to find the best prices.

Turnips are food items and can be consumed to restore stamina. Since turnips are sold in bulk, eating just one immediately fills the 10-point stamina gauge, allowing you to break rocks and dig up trees easily.

Turnips can also be cooked into certain recipes, such as Turnip Salad. You can get turnip recipes from Daisy Mae after purchasing turnips from her for at least four weeks. On the Monday following the fourth week, check your mail and she'll send you a recipe.
How to Get Cooking Tools: Colors, Variants & Price

Turnips can only be used for seven days. Once the next Sunday arrives, specifically when the day starts at 5:00 AM, they will rot. You won't be able to eat them anymore or sell them for a high price, and they'll be considered trash.

Turnips can also be used as DIY materials. For example, you can use 30 turnips to build a Senmaizuke Barrel if you have the recipe.

To get turnips, you'll need to find Daisy Mae, who sells turnips from 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM every Sunday in random locations around your island.
Like their selling price, the buying price of turnips also varies. It can be as high as over 100 Bells or as low as below 90 Bells.

You can sell turnips for profit after purchasing them from Daisy Mae. It's recommended to save most of your money for this to keep farming Bells, especially if you're low on funds.
Stalk Market Guide: When to Sell Turnips
| Day | Every day except Sunday |
|---|---|
| Location | Nook's Cranny |
| Time of Day | 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM |
You can sell turnips at Nook's Cranny any day of the week except Sunday. Prices change twice a day, once in the morning and again at noon, so you have two chances each day to check for a better price. On the last day, Saturday, you must sell them before 10:00 PM.
Keep in mind that these times may change if you have either the Night Owl or Early Bird ordinances active. If you're specifically time traveling for this, make sure to turn off these ordinances first and stick to the original schedule for more accurate tracking.
Island Ordinances Guide: Effects, What to Get, and How to Change

Turnips come in bunches of 10, so if you eat a turnip, you are eating 10 at a time. While this fills your stamina to the maximum, it is not a great return on investment.
Only do this if you are decorating your island and need to clear trees and rocks, and you can afford to eat them instead of dropping fruits.
What Happens When You Eat Fruit?

If you haven't caught ants or flies yet for your bug collection, you can drop a spoiled turnip on the ground and wait for them to spawn.
Catch them with your net after they appear and donate them to Blathers at the museum to add them to your Critterpedia.
How to Unlock and Upgrade the Museum

Turnips can't be planted like other crops. You can only eat them, sell them, or gift them away as long as they haven't spoiled yet.
How to Grow Crops and Vegetables

You can store your turnips in your house if you have extra rooms. If you don't have any space outside, this should be your second choice.
This may affect your HHA Score, so keep that in mind if you are aiming for a higher score. You can also put them on tables. That way they will be considered decorations and won't affect your score.

You cannot put turnips inside storage. The only time you can do this is after they spoil.
How to Store Items and Get More Storage Space

The last and best way to store turnips is to place them outside on your island as decoration. Get creative and create a turnip farm!

Since turnips are basically trash once spoiled, it's best to just sell them. That way you at least get some money back. You'd at least get 100 Bells from it.

You can also just put them in the trash if that is quicker for you. This will not give you any Bells, but it is a fast way to get rid of them.
