The Splatoon collaboration was released as part of the 3.0 update. You may scan any amiibo belonging to the Splatoon series in order to unlock Splatoon-themed villagers and items.

Scan at the Nook Stop Terminal
| ① |  Go to the Nook Stop terminal located inside the Resident Services and use it to invite an amiibo camper. |

| ② |  Tap the amiibo on your right stick. This works for both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. |
| * |  For the Controller Pro 2, tap the amiibo on the center logo area. |
| ③ | After confirming the camper, check your Campsite and complete their challenges to invite the camper to your island. |

How Long Does the Splatoon Collaboration Last?
Villagers and Items Can Be Obtained at Any Time
The Splatoon collaboration is a permanent part of the game. This means that as long as you have updated to Version 3.0 and have any eligible Splatoon amiibo, you will be able to get the villagers and items.
