|

As you ride along in his boat, Kapp'n will serenade you with a relaxing song. He will sing two random verses from his familiar sea shanty that he would also sing back in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

As Kapp'n is singing his sea shanty, you can react by pressing different buttons.
| Button | Reaction |
|---|---|
| A | Clap |
| X | Laugh |
| Y | Act Surprised |

You can skip the Kapp'n's Sea Shanty by repeatedly pressing the B Button. Kapp'n will immediately stop singing his Shanty and after a quick scolding, you will arrive at the island.
| Rare Plants | |||

Glowing Moss |
Pink Plumeria |
White Plumeria |
One of the rare islands you can visit during the boat tours, will contain rare plants, including Vines. Kapp'n will explain how to use the vines to climb up cliffs and collect them to bring them back to your island. You can also collect Glowing Moss and Plumeria Bushes from the island.

After Blathers gives you Brewster's Photo, you will first meet Brewster on an uninhabited island during a Boat Tour. He will also teach you how to plant and grow Gyroids using Gyroid Fragments.
How to Find Brewster's Coffee Shop

Another rare island you can visit during your Boat Tour contains an abundance of Bell Trees. You can shake each bell tree to receive 1,000 Bells from each tree.

Some of the uninhabited islands you visit will also contain a random type of crop. You will find the crop on plots of dirt scattered around the island. After picking up the crops, you can replant them on your island.

Each island you visit during the Boat Tour will have a dig spot containing a Gyroid Fragment, which makes the Boat Tours a reliable source of Gyroids.

You will unlock the hotel once you get a 3-star rating on your island. You will have to watch the K.K Slider concert and the credits that follow.
If your game has the Version 2.0 update, Kapp'n will be available after achieving this.
How to Quickly Raise Your Island Star Rating

As of Version 3.0, the Hotel will also be unlocked after you island gets a 3-star rating. There, you will see Kapp'n's family running the facility.
This feature allows you to decorate rooms and fulfil DIY requests in order to gain tickets. These tickets can then be exchanged at the hotel for special items.
