How to Get Tulips | Using Tulips as a DIY Material
This is a guide for the tulip flowers found in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH). See how to get Tulips, as well as lists of Tulip colors and Tulip DIYs.

How to Get Tulips
Buy Tulip Seeds
You can buy tulip seeds from Nook's Cranny or from Leif's Garden Shop. One bag of tulip seeds costs 240 bells while five bags cost 1200 bells.
This is by far the most recommended method to get Tulips, as getting them any other way requires a bit of luck.
Use Tulips for Flower Breeding
For the rare colors like black tulips and purple tulips, you need to breed the normal colors and work towards the flower that you want, as these don't grow in the wild.
Find them on Your Island
Red, yellow, and white tulips may grow on your island if your birthday is between March 1st and June 30th. The wild tulips will grow on top of the cliffs on your island, so you need access to those first.
Use a Ladder to Get the Flowers
To access the Tulips on your cliffs, make and use a Ladder through DIY.
Get them from Mystery Tours
If tulips are not growing natively on your island, there is a chance they might grow on Mystery Islands. Note that Mystery Islands can only ever give you one other type of flower, so you're not guaranteed to find tulips on them.
Trade Online
If you're struggling to get a specific flower type or hybrid color, trading with others online might be the quickest way to get them!

Tulips grow naturally in the colors shown above, and you can buy seeds of these colors from Nook's Cranny or Leif.

Other Tulip colors can be produced through tulip flower breeding, or be found on a Mystery Tour. The island with hybrid flowers is very rare, however, so we recommend breeding them yourself or trading online!
