Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) regularly offers free updates. The latest update, Version 2.0.5 (February 2022) fixed in-game issues, while the major update Version 2.0 (November 2021) featured Brewster, The Roost, Kappn's Boat Tours, new DIY recipes, island ordinances, and more!
The Version 2.0.5 update was launched in February 15, 2022.
The update fixed issues in the base Animal Crossing game like how the player could not progress in Photopia, and so much more. Additionally, the update fixed the bugs in the Happy Home Paradise DLC that also affected gameplay progress.
Version 2.0.5 Update Patch Notes
Though set to release on November 5, 2021, Version 2.0 for Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released a day early on November 4, 2021. It is said to be the last free content update for the game.
The update includes several new characters and features, such as Brewster and The Roost, Kapp'n's Boat Tours, new shops coming to Harv's Plaza, cooking and farming crops, island ordinances, and more!
ACNH Direct and November Update
The July 29, 2021 Update (Ver.1.11.0) has launched in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) for the Nintendo Switch.
The update includes new prizes for Redd's Raffle during the Fireworks Shows event, new seasonal items for Obon and Chuseok, and new Spooky furniture for Halloween 2021!
The April Update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will release on April 28, 2021.
This update adds more rewards to previous seasonal events, and brand new seasonal items at Nook Shopping and Able Sisters!
The March Update is set to release on March 18, 2021!
On top of adding six Sanrio collab villagers and special furniture, this update adds new event exclusive items, seasonal items, and an update to the Custom Designs Portal!
Along with the trailer drop of the January date, Nintendo also confirmed the re-release of Sanrio amiibo Cards!
The repackaged card pack will be a Target-exclusive release and is set of launch March 26, 2021! Find more information here:

The February Update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will release on February 25, 2021 (Thursday) at 8:00 PM EDT.
This update adds Super Mario Furniture and Items that you can buy from Nook Shopping starting March 1.
The highly-anticipated January Update is set to release on January 28, 2021!
This update marks the return of our favorite party animal, Pavé! Meet him on your island on Festivale day, February 15, 2021.
