To make the Golden Tools, first you need to unlock their respective DIY Recipes. As all of these recipes have difficult unlock conditions, we've prepared a list of how to unlock them above.
 Gold Nugget

To create Golden Tools, you need the valuable Gold Nuggets. Since Gold Nuggets and the specific tool* are required, you should save some materials in your storage if you want to be able to make the tools right after getting the recipe!
*For example, to make the Golden Axe, you need the normal Axe.
Sad to say, although it is a lot more durable than flimsy and regular tools, Golden Tools can still break. However, you can still craft them again as long as you have the materials.
