Version 2.0 adds five new crops you can grow on your island! Besides the pumpkin introduced last year, you can get wheat, tomatoes, potatoes, sugarcane, and carrots, starts.

Leif's Shop | Kapp'n's Tours |
You can either buy various veggie starts from Leif or find them on mysterious islands on Kapp'n Boat Tours. Leif sells them both at your island and at Harv's Plaza, but his shop refreshes weekly, so don't be surprised if Leif sells you the same crops several days in a row!
How to Unlock Leif's Garden Shop
Once, you have the start you want to plant, use a shovel to dig a hole, then select the Start or Vegetable from your pockets or inventory and choose to “Plant 1.”
Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 |

If you water your crops daily, you can get a maximum of three vegetables to grow on one plant. They will still grow without watering though, so you can also go for a hands-off approach!
After 4 days, you'll be able to harvest your crop and enjoy the fruits of your own labor! Or the fruit (singular) if you didn't water.
Note that harvesting crops resets them to their Day 2 crop cycle, which means you'll only have to wait three days to harvest them again!

The crops and vegetable farming update is part of the free Version 2.0 update. Farming crops can be a fun new way to get more Bells while also allowing you to show off your green thumb!
Vegetables can be used as ingredients to create dishes that you can eat to regain stamina or use as a lovely decor to liven up your home!
Other than using them for ingredients and food, you can leave them growing on your island. They look great and can help give a natural feel to it! Who hasn't dreamed of a veggie garden that takes care of itself, never rots, and doesn't attract bugs?
This may be a silly question, but how do you get your garden to look that? I get the fencing but how do you get the ground like that? Is it a path or design you out down?
