How to Get Cosmoses | Using Cosmoses as a DIY Material
This is a guide for the cosmos flowers found in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH). See how to get Cosmoses, as well as lists of Cosmos colors and Cosmos DIYs.

How to Get Cosmoses
Buy Cosmos Seeds
You can buy cosmos seeds from Nook's Cranny or from Leif's Garden Shop. One bag of cosmos seeds costs 240 bells while five bags cost 1200 bells.
This is by far the most recommended method to get Cosmoses, as getting them any other way requires a bit of luck.
Use Cosmoses for Flower Breeding
For the rare colors like pink cosmoses and orange cosmoses, you need to breed the normal colors and work towards the flower that you want, as these don't grow in the wild.
Find them on Your Island
Red, yellow, and white cosmoses may grow on your island if your birthday is between July 1st and November 30th. The wild cosmoses will grow on top of the cliffs on your island, so you need access to those first.
Use a Ladder to Get the Flowers
To access the Cosmoses on your cliffs, make and use a Ladder through DIY.
Get them from Mystery Tours
If cosmoses are not growing natively on your island, there is a chance they might grow on Mystery Islands. Note that Mystery Islands can only ever give you one other type of flower, so you're not guaranteed to find cosmoses on them.
Trade Online
If you're struggling to get a specific flower type or hybrid color, trading with others online might be the quickest way to get them!

Wild Cosmoses and Cosmos Seeds
Cosmoses grow naturally in the colors shown above, and you can buy seeds of these colors from Nook's Cranny or Leif.

Other Cosmos colors can be produced through cosmos flower breeding, or be found on a Mystery Tour. The island with hybrid flowers is very rare, however, so we recommend breeding them yourself or trading online!

Anonymous over 5 yearsCould I buy some cosmos from you or your friend?? I don’t have much to offer that you probably don’t already have since I’m relatively new to the game but I’m pretty desperate for some cosmos as they are the last flower I need!
