The most common way the get villager photos is to exchange presents with villagers!
You won't always get a photo when you give gifts, but better presents get be rewards! Try giving your villagers expensive furniture or items that match their aesthetic, and you could get your hands on their photo!
The closer you get to a villager means the closer you are to a villager photo! Check out our guide on how to raise your friendship with villagers!
How to Raise Villager Freindship

| 4 | Fly back to your island and buy villager posters from Nook Shopping |
Go to the airport, choose I wanna fly!, then choose Visit Harv's island. Go inside Harvey's photo studio and you will arrive at Photopia.
How to Unlock Harvey's Island and Photopia
Once you're in Photopia, you can call villagers to be models in your photoshoot, via decorating mode.
You can also call amiibos if you have them!
How to Call Villagers in Photopia
It's not necessary to arrange your villager(s) in a decent manner, before taking a photo, but you can if you want!
Once your villagers have been arranged, take at least one photo of them using your camera.
How to Use the Camera
When you return to your island, Harvey will call and tell you that villager posters are now available on Nook Shopping.
In Nook Shopping, select Special Goods, press R once, and you will see the list of villager posters available for you to buy.
Repeat Steps 1 to 4 for all villagers (or group of villagers) that live on your island (or for all amiibos you own), to collect all villager posters!
How to Get the Nook Shopping App
Villager photos can be placed or hung in your home, as well as placed outside.
If you stand in front of a photo and press A, you will be given information about the villager's birthday, zodiac sign, and catchphrase (greeting).
Villager posters can be hung on the walls of your house.
Decorating your home with villager photos and posters rewards you with bonus points for your Happy Home Academy (HHA) evaluation, raising your HHA Rank.
