1 Invite animals through the Nook Stop terminal in the Resident Services.
2 Tap the amiibo card or figure on your Nintendo Switch
3 Scan complete!

ACNH - Scan amiibo Instructions

By tapping the amiibo card or figure on the NFC touchpoint of your Nintendo Switch, you can scan the character's amiibo.

Scan Complete!

You can use your amiibos from the Animal Crossing series to invite these animals to the campsite. From there, you can ask if them if they want to reside on your island!
