The normal Nintendo Switch Cloud Backup is not supported

Unlike other games on Nintendo Switch, which can make use of the Nintendo Switch Online Cloud Backup feature, Animal Crossing: New Horizons does not use this function.

A backup service is on its way

Since the normal Nintendo Switch Cloud Backup can't be used, a special service, which will allow you to recover your backed up save data was created.

Not much is currently known about the backup service, so instructions on how to use it will be added after its release.

Will moving one person’s save data to another console remove the island completely for another profile? Or will their save data stay?

If you add me, send me dodo code so I can go to your island. You wont appear on friend list in game unless both players have played together.
