Windflowers are one of nine flowers you can get in Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Learn how to get windflowers on your island below!
List of Contents

You can buy windflower seeds from Nook's Cranny or from Leif's Garden Shop. One bag of windflower seeds costs 240 bells while five bags cost 1200 bells.
This is by far the most recommended method to get Windflowers, as getting them any other way requires a bit of luck.

For the rare colors like blue windflowers and purple windflowers, you need to breed the normal colors and work towards the flower that you want, as these don't grow in the wild.
Orange, red, and white windflowers may grow on your island if your birthday is between December 1st and May 31st. The wild windflowers will grow on top of the cliffs on your island, so you need access to those first.
To access the Windflowers on your cliffs, make and use a Ladder through DIY.
If windflowers are not growing natively on your island, there is a chance they might grow on Mystery Islands. Note that Mystery Islands can only ever give you one other type of flower, so you're not guaranteed to find windflowers on them.
If you're struggling to get a specific flower type or hybrid color, trading with others online might be the quickest way to get them!
Windflowers grow naturally in the colors shown above, and you can buy seeds of these colors from Nook's Cranny or Leif.

Other Windflower colors can be produced through windflower flower breeding, or be found on a Mystery Tour. The island with hybrid flowers is very rare, however, so we recommend breeding them yourself or trading online!
