The March 18 Update has been announced for Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH). This update brings the 1 year anniversary items, Sanrio villagers, and Custom Design changes! Read on for a full list of the March 2021 update.

The March Update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will release on March 18, 2021.
This update adds more than just the previously announced Sanrio villagers and Furniture, so check the full list of upcoming content below!

The normal design limit will be increased to 50, and so will the Pro design limit, making for a new total of 100 custom design slots! You can unlock this by paying 2,000 Nook Miles at the Nook Stop.
We can also design 4 new types of items: Umbrellas, Uchiwa Fans, Flags, and Photo Stands!

For just 300 Nook Miles, you can upgrade your Custom Design App to give direct access to the Custom Design Portal, making it a lot easier to share and find new Custom Designs online.

From March 28 to April 4, you will be able to find brand new Bunny Day, or Easter, items at Nook's Cranny. The items will change every day and be unrelated to the DIY Items from the event itself.

This item will appear on the catalog after updating to Version 1.9.0 and if you have an active Nintendo Online subscription.
Bunny Day will also once again come back to haunt us all after the update on April 4, 2021. Eggs will start to appear on your island starting on March 28, 2021, and Bunny Day itself starts April 4!
Bunny Day (Easter) Event Guide
Along with the free update, there will be a limited-time web service that allows you to showcase your island to the world! For now, it will be available from March 23 to the end of this year, but it sounds like the availability might change later on.
The Island Tour Creator lets you create posters and a trailer for your island, perfect for capturing your favorite spots and memorable scenes!
With the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game selected on the Home screen, press the + button on your Switch to view the game data.
Select Software Update from the left tab.
You can update your game Via the Internet or you can Match Version with Local Users.
If you have trouble updating your game, you can refer to the following solutions.
You may not be able to update your game due to server failure. You can check the game's official Twitter account for information.
Depending on Nintendo's server maintenance status, you may not be able to update your game. You can check their official website for more information.
Check if your Switch is connected to the internet.
You can check your internet status by going to the System Settings from the Home screen, and selecting Internet on the left tab.
If the problem persists, you can try restarting your Switch or your router.
With the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game selected on the Home screen, press the + button on your Switch to view the game data.
Select Software Information from the left tab. You can go to the Nintendo eShop to see if your game is up-to-date.
