Buy Rose Seeds

ACNH - Leif

You can buy rose seeds from Nook's Cranny or from Leif's Garden Shop. One bag of rose seeds costs 240 bells while five bags cost 1200 bells.

This is by far the most recommended method to get Roses, as getting them any other way requires a bit of luck.

Use Roses for Flower Breeding

ACNH - Rose Flower Breeding

For the rare colors like blue roses and orange roses, you need to breed the normal colors and work towards the flower that you want, as these don't grow in the wild.

Find them on Your Island

Red, yellow, and white roses may grow on your island if your birthday is between May 1st and July 31st or October 1st and December 31st. The wild roses will grow on top of the cliffs on your island, so you need access to those first.

Use a Ladder to Get the Flowers

To access the Roses on your cliffs, make and use a Ladder through DIY.

How to Climb Cliffs

Get them from Mystery Tours

If roses are not growing natively on your island, there is a chance they might grow on Mystery Islands. Note that Mystery Islands can only ever give you one other type of flower, so you're not guaranteed to find roses on them.

Wild Roses and Rose Seeds

Roses grow naturally in the colors shown above, and you can buy seeds of these colors from Nook's Cranny or Leif.

Other Rose colors can be produced through rose flower breeding, or be found on a Mystery Tour. The island with hybrid flowers is very rare, however, so we recommend breeding them yourself or trading online!

Another thing, I got rose seeds in October and November, but i’m not sure if there’s any actually pattern to what seeds are in stock or if it’s randomly chosen.

Note: I did this experiment after the first nook cranny upgrade, so I don’t know it it’ll work when the cranny is still the little shed. You can get seeds to roses and other flowers from nooks cranny when time traveling, the selection seems to change each month with the exception of native flower seeds.
