This is a guide to getting the Furniture and Materials needed for House Kits in the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) for the Nintendo Switch. Learn what kind of Furniture is needed and what Materials are needed to craft them.

How to Check the Furniture in a House Kit

After placing each of the three available House Kits, you'll be able to check what furniture is needed to round out the abode by looking at the sign on the front. Three pieces of outdoor furniture and three pieces of indoor furniture are needed for each house.

DIY Recipes available automatically

After you receive the instructions for placing each of the House Kits, you won't need to go looking around for the DIY Recipes yourself. Tom Nook will send them to your NookPhone, so you can already make all the required items as soon as you start working on the houses.

What Kinds of Materials will be Needed

Although the Furniture in each House Kit is randomized for each island, the three houses all require similar Materials. These Materials can all be gathered easily from natural sources on your island.

Try clicking each of the links below to find out how to get each individual Material!

Flowers can be obtained with the Ladder

At this part of the game, you'll be able to craft the Ladder tool to reach higher points on the island. If you climb the cliffs on your island, there will be wide fields of flowers which you can pick to use in a Wreath, required for one of the House Kits.

Take note of what Items and Materials you need

Check all the Furniture

After you've placed the House Kits, the first thing to do is to check the sign on the front of each, and write down the needed Items somewhere easy to check. You could take notes on your phone, or even on a sheet of paper. There won't be an easy way to check the list of needed items later, so unless you feel like walking back to the placed Plots each time you forget, it's best to take a note now.

Check the DIY Recipes

The next thing to do is to go to a DIY Workbench, check out the DIY Recipe for each of the Items you need, and write down the needed Materials for each Item you need to craft. You might even want to total up the amounts so you can go out and collect all the necessary Materials in one go.
