No man is an island, so invite them to yours! Learn how to add and invite friends in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) for the Nintendo Switch! You'll be able to chat with them via the NookPhone and make them Best Friends to play around the island!

Go to the airport and generate a Dodo Code with Orville. Remember to only share this code with the people you trust!

After generating the Dodo Code, share it to your friends and start playing in Multiplayer!
How to Play Online Multiplayer
When you're done playing, go to your Switch's HOME page. Click on your profile by selecting your user profile in the top left corner.
Scroll down to the Add Friend section. There should be an option to "Search for Users You Played With". Choose this option to add the friend you've recently interacted with!
To add friends in your Animal Crossing: New Horizons game, you'll first have to add them to your Nintendo Switch profile!

Go to your Switch's Home Screen by pressing the HOME Button, the circular button on the bottom of the right JoyCon.
Select the icon of your page on the top left corner to access your Switch profile.
Scroll down to the Add Friend section and use it to search for your friends! Once you've added them, they'll show up on your NookPhone the next time you boot up Animal Crossing: New Horizons!
Friend Request & Dodo Codes Board
Once a friend has visited your island, the Best Friend List app will be added to your Nook Phone! You can use the app to chat with Friends and make certain players your Best Friend.
Having someone as your Best Friend will allow them to use tools like the shovel and axe on your island!
You'll also be able to chat them up using the Best Friends app.
